Cotton and Calvert
|
Established in 1876 by P.C. Gibson, the Gibson family operated the oil mill and gin in Calvert. In 1912 it was the largest cotton gin in the world. A reproduction of Gibson Gin letterhead in 1912 with detail below that illustrates the size of the Gibson concern.
